We headed out to Pilsen to participate on the ISP conference called Kam kráčí telekomunikační sítě (site in Czech language only). The conference focuses on trends in optical and wireless networks and this year scored over 500 attendees.
Panel discussions and presentations brought interesting topics such as the view on future of IoT, trends from the wireless internet solutions or comparison of internet accessibility in Czechia and other European countries. We presented CROSS as a network inventory that comes from the world of big telco operators but brings significant benefits also for local Internet Service Providers. Most visitors, who stopped at our stand, were interested in tracking the optical fibre routes and the combination of the physical and logical network inventory that is unique for CROSS. They also liked the possibility to add any necessary detail to a network component. For example, the measurements of a network element or a rental contract for a leased fibre route.
The conference was a successful introduction of our solution to the ISP community and a beginning of networking with local internet providers.
